Barnyard is a 2006 party game, based on the 2006 animated film of the same name. It has been released for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, PC, and Wii.
Introduction[]
Since it doesn't follow the script of the movie at all, the game instead allows the player to create a cow, boy or girl, and choose different fur colors and patterns instead of just playing Otis (who appears in the video game as a supporting character, and the boy/girl cow appears as the main protagonist). Once the character creation process is completed, the player can begin to do missions for other characters. They can also receive missions through their cellphones, via text messages. In the beginning, the player may only explore inside the Barnyard, but after several missions revolving around the main characters, the player receives a key to the Barnyard gate and a key for a bicycle, and the player is able to explore other parts of the neighborhood. Also, the missions cannot be skipped; they must be completed in order for the game to advance. Then, eventually, after a multitude of missions, the player will have to complete a boss level involving Dag and the coyotes, and then the player finishes the game and is free to roam.

Otis was almost about to fall from the roof, but Pig requests the player to distract The Farmer so he can help Otis get inside the Barn before he gets strictly treated by his adoptive father Ben. After the cutscene, the main player is invited by Miles, who tells about the controls and savings of the game. Then the player meets Ben, Pig, Duke, Pip, Otis, Hanna and the Jersey Cows namely Eddy, Igg and Bud. After completing the day missions, Root seeks a massive help from the player so he can start the night barn. To help the night barn get better, bigger and is enjoyed by more customers, the player must buy Furnitures, Games, Decorations, Party items, Food items to make the night barn popular with the help of Gopher coins. All the items are found on Gopher Underground, which is only available on the nighttime. Player must meet Joey the Gopher before buying anything from Frankie the Gopher. After all of this, the chapter 1 comes to an end after finishing few mini games.
Chapter 2 - Raccoon Season: []
The Raccoons were starting to invade the barnyard and try to steal the farmer's crop/vegetables & Chicken's eggs. So, Ben has been keeping an eye on them. This chapter consists of 3 mini games and some side missions like Honey Collecting from Walnut Woods. The player gets the keys to unlock the path to South path and route from Walnut Woods to Beady Farm.
Chapter 3 - Coyote Season: []
After a successful season of Raccoon, Ben has warned the barn animals about the dangerous threat Coyotes possess. But Otis barely heard anything about it because he was checking a new arrival Daisy and her friend Bessy. As soon as the chapter starts, Otis asks the player to greet Daisy with OX-Daisy flowers and Ben asks the player to stay careful from the Coyotes. After few missions like stopping the human kids from Cow tipping, Daisy and Root have decided to give Everrett the Dog a long vacation since it's his birthday. So, she conducts 5 charity games to raise funds and the player must collect 1000 Gopher coins. After finishing the mission, the night kicks off with celebrating Everrett's birthday. The player gets the keys to unlock the path of Old Mill and Izzy Springs Golf Course.
Chapter 4 - Everrett's Party:[]
Since hardly anyone even took the Coyote season seriously, it led to a change in the story. In the night barn, Root tells the player to serve drinks to customers since it is a busy night. While the party was going, Coyotes have invaded the barnyard just in a nick of time.
Chapter 5 - Coyote Attack:[]
While the party was going on, Coyotes have attacked hens, but Ben stopped them, which led to his death. Then Otis immediately left the night barn for his father's funeral. the player, Daisy and Maddy help Otis and finally cheer him up.
Chapter 6 - Otis In Charge:[]
Instead of Duke, all the animals have elected Otis as their leader, and they were celebrating in broad daylight, but the farmer saw the whole thing. So, Miles had to kick him in the head to forget what happened. Otis then trusted the player and gave the keys to the north path which leads to Grizzly Gulch, the area around the Junkyard.
Chapter 7 - Boy Tipping:[]
Human kids once again have started the Cow Tipping, which was enough evidence for Otis and the Jersey Cows to take revenge. So, at nighttime, Otis asks the player to tease Ms. Beady so they can get her Car to chase the Snotty Kid. After chasing them, Otis, Eddy, Igg and Bud have gone for Boy Tipping, for which they immediately had to rush to the car. The player then safely lands Otis and the Jersey Cows at the barnyard, for which Otis appoints the player as an honorary Jersey Cow.
Chapter 8 - A Sudden Decision:[]
Coyote's leader Dag threatened to slaughter every animal if Otis was in their way, so to avoid such things, Otis has decided to leave the barnyard, which in difficult stage, led to the player becoming the new leader.
Chapter 9 - Coyote Showdown:[]
Coyotes have taken away the hens and Hanna, so Otis has decided to battle them, but he was backed by the player and others, and after finishing off Dag and his gang, Otis has banished the Coyotes from ever entering into the barnyard again. Afterwards, Daisy gave birth to Lil Ben, and Otis promises that he will take care of all animals and he also thanks the player for helping in all the cases.
Ending of Game:[]
After the credits, the player was invited by Otis inside the barn to thank him. Later he tells the player to finish off buying materials for night barn and finish the mini games to collect the rewards if remaining. He also gives keys of Junkyard, since there are no Coyotes anymore, Otis tells it is fun to ride.
Map and Locations:[]

Dankweed Pond:[]
Dankweed Pond is one of the very nearer places to the Barnyard. It lies on the North Middle part of Barnyard. All the goods of Gophers arrive right at the Dankweed Pier. Only Otis gives the missions to the player at Dankweed Pond.
While going straight from Dankweed Pond:
Ben's Hill:[]
Ben's Hill is the topmost place of the farm. Ben named it as his hill because it is his favorite place of the whole farm. Only Ben calls the player at Ben's Hill if any mission is given. Ben's Hill is also very much closer from Northwest Path.
Northwest Path:[]
Northwest path is the 2nd most very closest path to the Barnyard. It takes up to:
Vegetable Patch:[]
Vegetable Patch is often known as Miles Patch as he is known as the watchdog of it. Vegetable Patch also leads to the straight path towards Ben's Hill, which is way closer than from Dankweed Pond.
If we head straight:
Dandelion Meadow:[]
Dandelion Meadow lies in the northern west part of Barnyard. The Jersey Cows along with Daisy and Bessy stay at the Meadow in daytime. It also leads to a way to Ben's Hill and Dankweed Pond, and the Walnut Woods Last part is right at Dandelion Meadow.
Dandelion Meadow path also takes us to:
West Path:[]
The West Path is the shortest path of all four directions. It leads to:
Old Mill:[]
Old Mill is also known as Abandoned Mill. Before the Gophers used to take the supplies here in the Mill. There are lots of items in the Mill if lucky enough, the player gets items other than Gopher Coins.

Walnut Woods:[]
Out of 2 Divided parts of Walnut Woods, the eastern part of Walnut Woods is the longest. It has a very Narrow route towards Beady Farm and Gopher Hill. It is considered to be one of the few hostile places because it is occupied by Honeybees, who are not friendly in the game.
If we head straight from Beady Farm, the route takes us to:
Southeast Path:[]
Southeast Path is the farthest place from the Barnyard. It is full of:
Izzy Springs Golf Course:[]
The whole Southeast Path is completely a Golf Course. It is the final path of the map. It has three gates. The front gate is on the route from south path. The narrow gate is on the narrow route of Walnut Woods. The Back gate or also known as main gate is from the route of Beady Farm. If heading straight forward, we make it to:
South Path:[]
South path is the Dead-end path of Barnyard if reaching out of boundaries.
Outskirts:[]
It is in the path of Northeast path and closer to Dankweed Pond. It is of:
North Path:[]
North Path is at the outskirts of Barnyard. It is known as the dryland for:
Grizzly Gulch:[]
Grizzly Gulch is the Dry area around the Junkyard. It is also known as the hostile place. It is regarded as the outskirts place because it is the easiest place for Coyotes to enter even though the land is literally next to Ben's Hill.

Glitches & Bugs are common in this game, it is either because of removed content from the game or straight cut glitch.
In Ben's Hill, if the player spams the jump button at the front face of Barnyard, the player will get above the top and the game will start to become a void till you spawn at the Barnyard.
In the entrance of East path gate at Gopher's Hill, (the east gate is locked and you haven't reached the level unlock it.), if the player spams the jump button at the corner of the gate, then the player will reach to the top and finally land inside the locked gate of east path.
In the Beady Farm backyard, if you crash your bike with full speed to the right corner of the house, the game will become void till it spawns at Barnyard or it will simply spawn to Old Mill.
In the Grizzly Gulch, if you crash your bike with full speed to the corner of rock and fences, you will go to the top sky of Junkyard and game will become void till spawn at Barnyard.
In Izzy Springs, when you come from the Walnut Woods gate and travel to the left of lake, the game will become void and spawn at Barnyard.
In Dandelion Meadows, if you go to the back left corner and sprint jump with a trick and go forward, you will fall in a infinite void loop till spawned back at Dandelion Meadow.
At any place where water is there, if you try to do the trick near the water and hop onto the bike when it falls down the water, void appears once again.
In Izzy Springs from the route of Walnut Woods, if you turn your bike on the right side and try to jump with the bike before falling, you will fall into the locked gate of Izzy springs.
Removed Features:[]
Sharp Squirter mini game was also supposed to take place on Grizzly Gulch and Junkyard with Coyotes invading. But got removed because it would be tough for the player to handle it.
All the animals have AI and along with player, they are also free to roam around different places, but got removed because of them going out of boundaries. It was the last feature removed from the game. This feature was actually available till the final update.
Coyotes during the nighttime would come to invade the barnyard or the player if he was going to the grizzly gulch or walnut woods. But got removed since it is tough to handle.
Bike Race game was also supposed to be the playable mini game but got scrapped.
Ben originally gives the Grizzly Gulch keys to the player at chapter 3 itself to deal with the Coyotes, but got removed.
Otis gives the Junkyard keys at chapter 6 itself because there will be some missions in Grizzly Gulch and Junkyard at daytime and nighttime, but the missions of nighttime would probably be harder since the Coyotes can easily enter into the Barnyard. So later they have scrapped the missions of Grizzly Gulch and Junkyard.
Mud Jumpers game originally also had a game with Cows including Otis, Eddy, Igg, Bud and the player, but later got scrapped.
Bike Race 1st race was originally supposed to be started at Ben's Hill -> Veggie Patch -> Dandelion Meadow.
There was a night barn mini game, which is known as Roulette game. But was removed due to being tough mini game.
There was a pool battle mini game, but also got removed.
In the Bike Race battle, originally even Otis was suppose to race against the player, but removed it since it makes no sense for Otis to race since he doesn't ride it anymore.
Izzy Springs Golf Course, Beady Farm, Walnut Woods, Old Mill, Grizzly Gulch and Junkyard were supposed to be longer than they have right now, but it would take longer to complete missions, so, they scrapped it to small.
There was also a way to go the Acres land where humans are there, but it almost has no reason to visit there. So, they removed it.
The Pier of Dankweed Pond was actually longer and is supposed to be touched with the front land.
After the game finishes, there will be still some coyotes in the Junkyard at nighttime but scrapped.
