Trivia[]

  • The episode's title is a pun on It's a Wonderful Life -- however, unlike TV-episode titles that pun on the title, the plot doesn't do anything to parody the movie.
  • Snotty Boy wanting a Red Ryder BB taster is a reference to "A Christmas Story," where the lead character wants a Red Ryder BB-gun.
  • This episode reaired on Nicktoons during the "25 Days of Nickmas" in 2020.
  • The Englishman got into a rug and thrown out of the window three times by Otis and the other animals -- but in the end, the animals allowed him to stay with them to perform an armpit-version of "Deck the Halls" (although part of the reason for letting him stick around was because they had run out of rugs).
  • Otis is revealed to know two of Santa's reindeer -- specifically, Otis knows Donner and Blitzen. Upon being questioned how he knows them, Otis claims that he, Donner and Blitzen had all gone to high school together and [Otis] had recently reconnected with them through Snoutbook (an obvious parody of Facebook).
  • When Duke questions if it's okay for him and the other animals to be walking and talking in front of Santa, Donner and Blitzen assure him and the others that Santa's fully aware than animals can walk and talk like humans do. This makes Santa one of the few humans to know about animals being able to walk and talk (others who happen to know being people such as Mrs. Beady and Farmer Clem).
